Capio Artro Clinic is a specialized orthopedic center in Stockholm with a focus on sports medicine, physiotherapy, and joint replacement. Here we find three clinics, 165 employees performing 23 000 doctor visits and 46 000 physiotherapy rehab visits each year. More than 5500 surgeries are performed. The clinic has a strong focus on quality and collaboration with academia. Highly digitalized pre- and post-processes as well as a digital-first approach for all patient communication are examples of their processes so far.

One project, "voice-to-invoice", is about voice-to-text, which is already used in many healthcare setting to transcribe text into medical health records. Here. however, the ambition is to take this a few steps further. Just like a similar project in Capio's sister company in Denmark, which combines speech recognition, NLP and AI. 

"This form of NLP is much more innovative than 'Siri' on the iPhone. What we're going to do is not just write a text but also process the information in the text file", says CEO Erik Rönnblad. The possibilities are many, and in addition to diagnosis and billing codes, one can imagine that registering data and other automation of referrals, certificates, and booking of visits will be done automatically in the future.
